Scope and Contents

Dr. Bauer speaks to Ruthanne Atkinson and Dr. Connors about how the Center was begun. Mrs. Atkinson and Dr. Connors also discuss what the role of the Center of Excellence is. They explain that the Center is comprised of four institues and each of these institutes have goals. In the second session, Dr. Connors and Mrs. Atkinson discuss the Center for Excellence in Teaching iniatives. #1- " Thrust Toward Excellence in Education" #2-’"The Center for Excellence in Teaching Initiatives" #3-"Future of the Center for Excellence in Teaching" Mrs. Atkinson and Dr. Connors discuss future plans of the Center in the last session. One goal is to develop video computer services that would be available to both professors and students preparing for student teaching. This would enable these individuals to see strenghths and weaknesses and improve.
