Scope and Contents

Most of the interviews took place between 1995-1998.  Those recordings outside this date range are part of a legacy collection with unknown provenance.  The interviewees were all associated with the school as either faculty or students.  Their recollections date to the early 1900's.

Biographical or Historical Information

The people interviewed were retired faculty and alumni of the school. Their dates of affiliation reach back to the early 1900's. One notable tape is the inauguration address of Chester McNerney dated 1967. Another tape from 1978 contains an interview with Sox Harrison.Note written by Dave Obringer

Abstract

This collection of oral histories was conducted by universy archivist Dave Obringer in 1995.  It incudes interviews of people associaed ith the scool.  These are audio only interviews.  Most have been re-recorded on CD. There are a few interviews that were not conducted by Dave Obringer.

Arrangement

The CD's containing the recorded interviews are located in Archives and Special Collections Media Collection.  The original cassett tapes and transcripts are boxed next to the CD's.  The CD's have been assigned a call number that reflects the date and order in which they were cataloged.

Physical Access Requirements

Recordings are on archival CD-R.

Custodial History

The interview tapes were conducted the university archivist and have been kept in the archives.
