From the Series: This series contains information regarding postgraduation employment. There are three separate reports from 1982-1984 found in the series. These reports summarizes the findings of a study concerning the postgraduate activity of higher education graduates at all degree at levels. The study attempted answer the following questions: How many graduates were employed? Unemployed? Underemployed? Pursing an advanced degree? How many graduates were hired in Pennsylvania? How many graduates were hired for jobs which they prepared for ? How many jobs did graduates hold in each major and degree field? Compared to the other institutions of higher education, what are the differences in the postgraduation activities of students? In 1982, the report consisted of two smaller data sets. The first data set included the reported postgraduate activities of the certified graduates of the higher education institutions in PA. The data was collected from an annually report by the Division of Data Services of the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Information Systems. The second data set included information regarding the postgraduate activities of baccalaureate degree, associate degree, master degree, doctoral degree, and first professional degree graduates. This information was collected by a survey that was completed by cooperating colleges and universities in the Commonwealth. The 1983 and 1984 reports only included the second data set for information. The graduates who received education degrees were excluded in the report.
