Identifier: Folder 2
Scope and Contents
From the Series:
The folders have, as much as possible, remained labled as Russell Vance had them identified. Some of the folders are rich with Edinboro memoribilia. For instance, the "historical development" folder contains programs from the 1860's. There are also the "Religious Organizations, 1909-30" and "Special Day, 1914-54" folders that contain programs from the meetings and events. These include such things as the 75th Anniversary program and the topics examined during group discussions of the religious groups on campus.
This collection also contains papers from Margaret Compton, for whom Compton Hall is named. It contains a few pieces of correspondence and a number of notes on various topics that were probably used as class presentations. There is also the "Civil War Correspondence to Sophie and Margaret Compton," folder containing two letters to the Compton,s.
