Dr. Richard (Dick) Groman began his career at Edinboro as an Assistant Professor in 1967.  He became an Associate Professor in 1968.  Two years later he was elected chairman of the History Department.  His step into the ranks of management came in 1971 when he was named Chairman of Social Sciences.  There was a reorganization in 1972 and Groman became the Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences.  He held this position until 1987.  His final years at Edinboro were spent as a professor in the History Department, 1988-1998.

Abstract This collection is comprised of the materials created by and collected by Dr. Richard Groman during his years at Edinboro.  As both a faculty and an administrator, the materials represent his scholarship and the administrative functioning of the school from 1967-1998.

Arrangement The materials arrived in file cabinets arranged alphabetically.  As materials were weeded and boxed, the alphabetic arrangement was kept.
